Cindy Overton founded Convergence Advisors International to support businesses in their efforts to create sustainable operating strategies and identify and manage risks associated with social investment.

Ms. Overton’s background includes over 20 years of management and leadership experience with Fortune 100 firms including Tenneco, Baker Hughes and Arthur D. Little.  She understands what it takes to achieve success in an operating environment and has worked closely with individuals at all levels of the organization. She has worked throughout the developed world, and in Russia, China, Brazil, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ghana and Equatorial Guinea.  

Cindy began her career at Tennessee Gas (now El Paso Corp) where she was responsible for environmental issues in operations and permitting issues associated with new pipeline construction.  After 8 years in the pipeline business, she joined ENSR, a national consultancy, where she developed a fast-paced practice focused on mitigating risk associated acquisition & divestiture in Fortune 100 companies. She moved back into the energy sector when she joined Baker Hughes, managing global environmental health & safety issues, and then joining Arthur D. Little where she worked  with major energy companies to manage environmental and social impacts of new projects in developing countries. Coincident with the dissolution of Arthur D. Little, she formed Convergence Advisors International, whose major focus is domestic and global corporate responsibility & sustainability issues.

Ms. Overton is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and speaks on the energy industry’s Corporate  Responsibility  & Sustainability practices.
